Spikenard Essential Oil, also called Nard, Narde, Νardin, Jatamansi and Muskroot has an uplifting woody, musty scent, which enhances feelings of calmness and relaxation and is often used in perfumes, massage oils and as a sedative. Also, due to its antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties Spikenard is used for skin ailments and is ideal for treating fungus, dermatitis and psoriasis. It is extremely beneficial to your health because of its ability to fight inflammation throughout the body and its antibacterial properties make it effective in fighting skin problems resulting from bacterial infections. A traditional use of Spikenard was for female reproductive organs and is still used as a depurative for the uterus and the ovaries, as it stimulates the uterus and ovaries and aids in the secretion of hormones such as estrogen and progesterone.
