The Mastic Tree essential oil ( Pistacia lentiscus ) is 100% organic and 100% natural. It is obtained by steam distillation of the branch. This wild harvested plant come from Morocco.
This organic essential oil is a HEBBD oil (Botanically and Biochemically Defined Essential Oil). This product is classified as a natural aroma (edible).
Mastic Essential Oil has a fresh, balsamic fragrance, similar to pine. It has anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, antimicrobial, antiseptic, astringent, expectorant and diuretic properties and is commonly used for pain relief and to treat bronchitis, colds and flu. As an ingredient in various ointments for the skin it can be used treat boils, cuts, wounds and ringworm. Mastic essential oil is also known to be a lymphatic and circulatory decongestant. Because of its vaso-constricitng properties it is believed to help with spider and varicose veins.
